Potsdam Seeks Public Input on Street and Pedestrian Safety
Potsdam is asking residents, visitors and others who travel through the community to identify locations where transportation safety or accessibility improvements may be needed.
The village and town of Potsdam are seeking public input for a Safe Streets for All safety action plan. An online map allows people who live, work, study, visit or travel through the community to mark locations where they have transportation safety or accessibility concerns.
The project is funded through a $158,568 U.S. Department of Transportation grant awarded in 2024, along with a $39,642 local contribution. The total project cost is $198,210. Public participation will also include a community fair, a pop-up traffic garden and interviews.
