Two occupants of an SUV were arrested Oct. 18 after a Border Patrol pursuit in Massena, officials said. The vehicle had entered the United States without inspection through the Akwesasne Territory and fled after agents tried to stop it.
The pursuit traveled along State Route 37 and Tripanny Road. Officials said agents deployed spike strips, but the SUV continued. They also said the SUV struck a Border Patrol vehicle before the arrests.
Charges at the state and federal levels are pending, and the investigation remains ongoing, officials said.
