Watertown 5K Color Run/Walk planned to support suicide prevention

The Jefferson County Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Children’s Home of Jefferson County plan to hold a 5K Color Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at the Large Pavilion in Thompson Park in Watertown. The event is intended to raise awareness of suicide prevention and promote mental health education.

Registration is $35. Online registrants who sign up by Sept. 8 will receive a free T-shirt. Same-day registration begins at 8:45 a.m., and the run/walk starts at 9:45 a.m. The event will include a 5K route and color stations, while organizations offering mental health, crisis support, wellness, youth, family, veteran, substance use and related services are invited to provide resource tables.
