Watertown DPW closing part of Thompson Boulevard Thursday for road work
The City of Watertown's Department of Public Works announced that Thompson Boulevard will be closed between Park Circle and Gotham Street on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, for road work at the Franklin Street intersection.
A section of Thompson Boulevard in Watertown will be shut to through traffic Thursday while crews work at the intersection of Franklin Street and Thompson Boulevard, the city's Department of Public Works said in a public notice. The closure runs between Park Circle and Gotham Street, starting at 8 a.m. and lasting until the end of the day. Local traffic only will be permitted.
The department said crews will set up barricades, signs and on-site flaggers for the duration of the project, and it asked drivers to use other routes and to slow down near work zones.
