Watertown drug raid reportedly leads to charges, seizure of drugs and guns

The Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force said a search at 449 Cross Street led to the seizure of drugs, cash, firearms and digital scales, and that a woman was charged in the case.

The Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force said investigators searched a home at 449 Cross Street in Watertown and seized about $10,000 in cash, 2.2 kilograms of cocaine, 10 grams of mushrooms, nearly 167 grams of fentanyl, three firearms and digital scales.

The task force said a woman was stopped in a vehicle while leaving the property and was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was sent to the Jefferson County jail after her first court appearance. The task force said the investigation involved alleged drug trafficking from the home and that additional charges were possible. Watertown police and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office assisted.
