Watertown receives one bid to operate Thompson Park golf course
Watertown received one bid to operate the city-owned Thompson Park golf course during the next season.
By the ClickNNY North Country Desk
Watertown received one bid to operate the city-owned golf course in Thompson Park next season. The bid came from Jefferson County Business Services Inc., which lists Andrea Doane as its owner.
The City Council is considering the proposal as a way to reduce operating costs. The course has lost money during the past three years, including an estimated loss of about $85,000 in 2025. The council can accept or reject the bid, and some members support keeping the course under city operation for another season.
