About Jeffrey
316Jeffrey Wynes runs the #316 in the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks at Ransomville Speedway, the fast four-tenths-mile dirt oval in Niagara County where Western New York's 4-cylinder division goes to war every Friday night. The Wilson, New York driver has spent three seasons turning a weekly-racer program into one of the toughest cars in the class. The climb has been steady. Wynes ran his first full Mini Stock season at Ransomville in 2024, learning the cushion and cracking the top ten in points. In 2025 it clicked: he scored his first career feature win on June 6, backed it up with a second on July 4, and closed the year fourth in the standings while taking home a Best Appearing Car award at the season banquet. 2026 is the breakout. Wynes has won four features and finished on the podium in 13 of his 15 starts, with just one finish all year outside the top five. He carries the Mini Stock points lead into Championship Night on September 4, chasing the first track title of his career against a stacked field led by Ben Hornquist, Cody Griffin and Brandon Close.
The Climb
Wynes did not arrive overnight. A top-ten points run as a 2024 newcomer in the class became two feature wins and a fourth-place championship finish in 2025, and then a run at the title in 2026. Every season at Ransomville has moved him forward.
Championship Night
The Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stock title comes down to the finale. Wynes leads the standings by 50 points heading into Ransomville's Championship Night on Friday, September 4, with a shot at the first track championship of his career. Ryan Plante (2024) and Cole Susice (2025) set the recent bar; Wynes is racing to add his name to the list.
Friday Nights at Ransomville
Ransomville Speedway, the four-tenths-mile clay oval on Braley Road, has run dirt-track racing in Niagara County for decades. The Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks are the track's 4-cylinder division, and Wynes and the #316 have become a weekly headline act in it.
